More than a micro container

Creatives uses for film canisters

Share your creative geocaching uses for 35 mm film canisters? Have you seen a clever use? Got a picture? Here are a couple of ideas I have seen as a relative newbie to geocaching. I use Avery 5069 or Avery 5199 labels which fit well around a film canister. Avery often packages free label making software with their labels, making it easy to create your own designs.

CITO Bag

While caching in Austin, I saw a "take me along with you" CITO canister with a plastic trash bag in it and a label similar to this:

State Quarters

Kids seem like finding and collecting the state quarters series currently being created by the U.S. Mint. They fit nicely into a film canister, so I created another label. I leave the state quarter trader and a couple of quarters in all of the caches I visit.

Wildflower Seeds

I have placed wildflower seeds in a film canister to leave in caches with yet another label.

I have also seen film canisters used as stages in a multi-cache search where a clue is hidden in the canister that leads to the next stage. Any other great ideas out there?
